At around 1:45 a.m. on Monday October 19th, 2015 an unknown suspect entered an Elgin Street home in Wallaceburg and viciously attacked a woman. The 31-year-old was seriously injured and air lifted to a London hospital.
During the early morning hours of Saturday October 17th, 2015 unknown suspects entered the fenced compound of the CP Rail yard located at the end of Murray Street, Chatham.
Once inside the suspects smashed the windows of two trucks and removed a Dell Laptop and a gas credit card. The suspects then cut the locks from the trucks tool boxes and removed a STIHL chain saw

The theft of copper items continues to be an issue for the Chatham-Kent Police Service along with residents and businesses within our Municipality.
While it is understandable that copper holds a dollar value when sold as scrap, this is minimal compared to the costs of the theft of copper products from businesses, new home construction sites and hydro sites. Not only is it dangerous to remove but it’s also very expensive to replace.
Around the midnight hour on Saturday September 19th police and fire crews were sent to an abandoned home on Indian Creek West in Chatham. Upon arrival they found the house fully engulfed in flames.
Through investigation it was determined that this fire was intentionally set and as a result the home was destroyed. Evidence at the scene indicates that a vehicle was parked by the home at the time of the fire.

On Friday August 21st, 2015 unknown suspects entered a construction site at Drake Road just north of Queens Line. After removing the lock the thieves entered the trailer and removed a
large quantity of tools which included several saws, drills and generator. The total value of the theft is over $15,000.00.
Over the weekend of August 22nd and 23rd, 2015 suspects entered the vacant property known as Saint Andrews Anglican Church located on Prospect Street in Tilbury.
Once inside the thieves discharged several fire extinguishers causing damage to the interior as well as the priceless antique organ. They then further desecrated the sanctuary with anti-religious graffiti.
